The Roxy is a busy basement bar off a back road in the center of London. During it’s revamp in 2005 we were hired to rejuvenate some dead spaces. With the use of anamorphic projections we made the most of an oblique wall.
From the entrance you see three business men jumping off the busy street and into the bar. As you descend the stairs, the image stretches away from you and it becomes apparent that only from the street the image is discernible.
The second mural depicts a young girl peering round a corner as you turn into the main space. Opposite her are three boys creating a pyramid to tag the top of the wall. These out of place figures bring a playfulness and surprising reality to an otherwise unused and empty access space
